CrystaLaser, founded in 1995, is a leading manufacturer of highly reliable, ultra-compact diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers, available in a broad wavelength selection, including CW and Q-switched pulsed lasers.

CrystaLaser is seeking an experienced Laser Technician to perform the hands-on assembly, integration, alignment and test of both opto-mechanical/electrical subsystems and our advanced and custom lasers, in both development and production environments. Requires the strict adherence to manufacturing, quality and safety protocols. May also diagnose and repair production problems and field returns. Will perform Lean Six-Sigma Kaizen for continuous improvement, and investigate the root causes of failures, as well as implement solutions.

• • This position requires an AA or BS degree, advanced trade school or military technical training or the equivalent experience in assembly, prototyping, testing and troubleshooting of laser systems. • Must have a minimum of 3 years prior hands-on experience troubleshooting, building or repairing lasers, preferably DPSS or Q-Switched lasers. • Must have excellent manual dexterity and visual acuity. • Must have ability to utilize drawings and basic mathematical formulas. Must have demonstrated ability to read, understand, and write manufacturing instructions, travelers, procedures and specifications, and possess good oral communication skills. • Must be computer literate and be able to use Microsoft Office products. • Important attributes are professionalism, maturity, team player, disciplined, positive, bright, productive, detail oriented, organized and dependable. • Experience with the following is a plus: micrometers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, bench power supplies, spectrum analyzers, optical power meters, solid-state lasers, optical alignment.
