Our client is a world renowned R&D company. They are seeking a Manager of Electrical Engineering to work the area of Mixed Signal Systems.

Responsibilities:

Lead electrical engineering group Work with multi-disciplinary project teams Provide program and technical leadership in cross-disciplinary teams Support new business development effort through solution development, customer visits, proposal writing, technical presentation and demonstrations Estimate timelines and budget for engineering development efforts Validates and assesses the risk of technical solutions and schedules proposed by/for the group Positions engineering team to execute value engineering, new product introduction, or existing product transfer to lost-cost sourcing and manufacturing areas Responsible for the content, thoroughness and quality of the design work generated by the department Design electronics for high performance visible and IR imaging systems, mixed signal data acquisition systems, embedded data processing system Coordinate and manage electronic design, prototype fabrication and assembly testing and system integration

• Given the nature of US Govt. business in this area, US Citizenship / Permanent Residency is required, and US Govt. Clearances are preferred. BSEE or equivalent, MSEE preferred Minimum 5-10 years professional experience 3-5 years experience leading technical or electrical engineering group, working with a variety of programs Proven experience designing mixed signal systems: -Visible or Infrared imaging technology -Data collection/data management system -IR or Visible imaging system integration and test methodology -Embedded system design Ability to derive system requirements from system level co-ops Experience with schematic capture tools, layout, fabrication and assembly, debugging and testing to a functional module as well as system level Design for reliability, manufacturability and serviceability Strong Experience in design of high end military electronic subsystems Additional Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required Knowledge of the Orcad Schematic Capture, PADS layout tools, Altera Quartus FPGA design environment is a plus
